Ideation SprintS
UPCOMING IN JAN. 2023:
TIME TO CARE, TEL AVIV 2020
Together with the Sourasky Medical Center and the WHO (World Health Organization); MindState developed the program, Time to Care, exploring the future of healthcare. Thirteen teams made up of students from Cornell Tech, Technion, together with design professionals (Facebook, Monday, Wix etc.) from Tel Aviv and medical staff from Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov Hospital). Teams were invited to consider how the use of data, technology, design, and business strategy could be used to help imagine and attempt to influence a better patient experience.
Winning Project: Enroute
Enroute, addresses the inefficient and often overlooked challenge of patient transportation and movement within hospitals. Enroute was awarded pre-seed funding worth $100,000 in Cornell Tech’s 6th annual Startup Awards Competition.
“MindState has helped us develop our company, from the ideation to where we are today,” says Ori Shemla, one of the founders of Enroute, “They also guided us in creating inroads with the right people in the right institutions. MindState’s unique model and approach towards innovation, combined with the commitment of everyone on the team, is helping Enroute solve one of hospital’s most pressing logistical problems.”
Urban Catalysts 2019
60 Cornell Tech students participated in a Tel Aviv based ideation sprint in January of 2019 to tackle a five-pronged urban catalyst challenge. These challenges included: Breathe in the City, Move around the City, Talk to the City, Chill in the City, and Die in the City. Divided into teams, the students were paired with top-tier Israeli creative talent from prominent businesses: IronSource, Waze and Wix to collaborate, ideate, innovate one of the five challenges. After the session, teams presented their ideas to a panel of six judges, including high tech angel investors, entrepreneurs, and Tel Aviv Municipality executives. Three winners were announced, and MindState is delighted that one of these, created in response to the Breathe in the City challenge, is currently in development with the Municipality of Tel Aviv.
